This program is delivered as an eight week evening class program. This comprehensive program will give you a firm grounding and understanding of NLP, its key operating principles and some of the key models and their applications. This highly practical course gives you a chance to see for yourself how NLP can benefit your life and those around you. The focus is on coaching and personal development, NLP principles, and skills and tools that you can use immediately.

This is a friendly and informal course where you will get to meet a small group of enthusiastic learners from all walks of life who share a fascination for how people work.

This course is for anyone who wants more from life and who wants better relationships with themselves and others. You could be from any walk of life. Perhaps you are just curious about NLP and want to find out what it’s all about for yourself.
What specifically are the NLP skills and concepts I will learn?

This is a truly experiential course in a welcoming and supportive environment. You will learn:

Rapport: Developing the ability to step into and respect another person’s map of the world. Ways of building rapport through posture, gestures, expressions, movement, voice, language and breathing.

Outcome Orientation: The ability to focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want. How successful people motivate themselves to achieve their goals and how you can do that for yourself

Behavioural Flexibility: The importance of flexibility in order to achieve greater influence and mastery of your own life.

NLP Presuppositions: The Key NLP Operating Principles, essentially “beliefs and ways of being and thinking that support and promote change and growth in yourself and others.

Logical Levels: Ways of thinking about “thinking”. Giving greater choice in any situation, gather information about others, learn about your own way of being and create resourceful and powerful change in yourself and coach others.

Representational Systems: How we use of our five senses to create and make sense of the world and how this affects our language and behaviours.

The NLP Communication Model: How we filter the information we receive through our senses to make sense of the world around us

Eye Accessing Cues: What the eyes tell us about ways of thinking and feeling.

Perceptual Positions: Strengthening you ability to enjoy your own experience, step into other people’s shoes and make sense of relationships, good and not so good.

State Management: Tools and techniques to access specific states in specific contexts so you can be sure you are operating in your most optimum state.
How will I be able to use what I will learn?

You will be surprised at what you cover in the 8 evenings, and how much you will learn. Most people report that at the end of this course that they are already noticing changes in their thinking which create powerful new possibilities:

* Create and maintain rapport in your relationships

NLP has become the Personal Development tool in recent years. With its intense focus on personal outcomes and individual empowerment, it is little wonder that elements of NLP discipline have now crept into just about every other type of training programme, from management development through to sales, negotiation and communication workshops.

NLP and its tools, principles and approach also provide the natural bedrock of the successful coach; the coaching industry continues to grow and is predicted to be a registered and professionalised activity in the coming years.

This modular program introduces the key principles and ideas that support NLP and will equip you with numerous coaching techniques that you will be able to use straight away in your coaching practice and with colleagues at the office.

Key Objectives for the program are:

• Improved communication skills
• Understanding why language is so powerful
• Unlocking the key to setting goals and actually achieving them
• Discover the art of questioning
• How to create rapport easily
• Learn about human experience
• Unleash your personal confidence
• Become a more confident coach

This is a four day programme presented over one month. This custom designed format maximises opportunities for delegates to implement their learning in the real world and follow up with additional coaching and guidance from Donald.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

in Mindset by zonedinperformance on March 31st, 2009No Comments

The map is not the territory or is it:-)

If there’s one quote I really like, it’s that one that refers to the glass being seen as either half full or half empty.

It’s a really great quote that highlights our ability to see either the positive or the negative.

Throughout my life, I have dealt with negative people and positive people. And I can tell you one thing. The positive people who see the glass as half full are the ones who enjoy happier, richer lives.

I recently came across a great quote about that glass!

Yes, in case you were wondering, I am a self-confessed lover of quotes! I find so much food for the soul in quote books and on quote websites.

And this is one I discovered a short time ago that I absolutely love and want to share as the topic for today’s blog post. It’s by Dr. James S. Vuocolo and it reads:

“Some folks go through life pleased that the glass is half full. Others spend a lifetime lamenting that it’s half-empty. The truth is: There is a glass with a certain volume of liquid in it. From there, it’s up to you!”

How right he is in his beautiful explanation!

We each have the power to choose to be optimistic or pessimistic – even if we are facing the same situation.

Here’s a great example of that in action!

Say for instance two people are diagnosed with an acute case of tonsillitis. I know, it’s an incredibly painful winter lurgy to be afflicted with, but it happens to so many of us when the skies turn grey and the temperature begins to drop.

So, these two individuals have tonsillitis. One decides to absolutely go to ground and confines themselves to a week of misery and woe is me. They mope around the house, constantly complaining and just work themselves right into the ground with misery.

The other individual on the other hand, does the opposite. They are in pain – yes – but they see the week off work as a break and take advantage of the 30 pack of lemonade icy lollyiesin the freezer. Sure, it might be cold, but wow…the sweet treats work wonders on the tonsils!

The first individual sees the glass as half empty and the second sees it as half full.

And guess who gets back to their old selves quicker? The one who decided to make the ordeal as pleasant as possible!

Our experiences are down to our perception

And we choose to respond to situations however way we want.

We choose to see the glass as either half full or half empty.

We choose our own adventure!

Our experience is up to us.

So next time you are faced with a rather challenging situation – or any situation in fact – make a conscious choice to see the glass as either half full or half empty.

Choose your own experience and love your life!

Please feel free to share this blog on your page or with friends .All I would ask is that you give full credit and link back to www.nlpteam.net

Thanks Donald

Be Your Leader Today !!!

in Info by admin on January 22nd, 20093 Comments

Leadership principles to apply for everybody!

You know, often when I’m talking to people about leadership issues, many will write the topic off because they just don’t believe they are a leader.

There is a common misperception out there that leaders are people in well paying, executive jobs. In other words, people just think that to be a leader, you must be in a corporate career.

But the fact of the matter is that leadership is something each one of us has at some point in time.

Examples of everyday leaders

If you are in a partnership with a spouse, if you have children, if you have friends, if you have relatives…there are many non work-related situations where you need to take on those attributes of good leaders.

I have an excellent quote that I have loved for a long time that really brings the whole leadership topic down to the earth level. Here’s what it says:

“If I accept you as who you are, I will make you worse; however if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that.”

That quote came from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe – many of you may have heard of him, but for those who haven’t, he was a German natural philosopher who was also a novelist, playwright, diplomat and poet.

Read that quote again, because what it says really is amazing.

It basically says that for us to be great leaders…

…we must see the potential in other people!

Think about your really great friends. Chances are, they are people who encourage you in everything you do! They are people who are there to help you achieve those things you really want to achieve in your life.

They treat you as though you are capable of becoming – just as Goethe said!

Great friends do this, and great bosses, parents and spouses do as well.

Recognising one’s potential is the attribute of a great leader, but as you can see, it’s also a great attribute when it comes to our personal relationships as well.

It’s all about believing in other people and acting and saying things in accordance with that.

If we open our eyes to this great leadership attribute and start implementing it in all of our interpersonal relationships TODAY, it’s amazing what effect it will have both on yourself and on everybody you know.

Believing in other people is contagious as well. If you really give somebody else encouragement, it makes them feel great! And then they will do the same to somebody else, who in turn will feel great and pass it onto others.

You don’t have to be a high flying executive in a suit to start implementing great leadership qualities like this one. Try it today and put it to the test!
